Dear Friends of Mercy Seat:
It’s that time of year; the Mercy Seat Pledge Drive is right around the corner. The Mercy Committee of the Future would like to take this opportunity to invite you to our Pledger Party on November 16th, immediately following the service. As a friend of Mercy Seat, we would love to hear your thoughts about the church - both the good and the bad. We’ll also take this opportunity to disclose our financial situation in greater detail, as well as hear your thoughts and feedback. We hope that you think of this community as a personal investment. Ultimately, this is our community, we are still growing, and we all have the unique opportunity to have a voice in Mercy Seat's future. As you may or may not know, one of the goals of Mercy Seat is to become self-sustaining within the next few years. At this point in time, we are still well short of that goal. But after less than three years as a worshipping community we are approximately one third of the way there and so we are extremely grateful for every gift and pledge we receive. If you've ever made any contribution to us in the past, are currently a pledging member, or are considering making a pledge for 2009, please come to the party and help us shape our future. Oh, and did we mention that there will be free food and drinks? Thank you for being a part of Mercy Seat and for your continued support. Sincerely, Brian Lande, Treasurer, On behalf of the Mercy Seat Committee of the Future
