The World’s Laziest Book Club™

Mercy Seat is home to the World’s Laziest Book Club™. The WLBC meets on the third Sunday of every month (unless we don’t), at an ever changing location, to discuss a pre-agreed-upon book after church. However, attendees need not even read the book (Rev. Mark makes an art of not reading the book but finding relevant discussion topics). Sometimes we don’t even read; we just watch a movie. Yes, we’re that Lazy™. Previous books read include: Willa Cather’s My Antonia, Graham Greene’s The End of the Affair, F. Scott Fitzgerald’s Bernice Bobs her Hair (short story and movie), Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein, Eric Hoffer’s The True Believer: Thoughts On The Nature Of Mass Movements, Robert Farrar Capon’s The Supper of the Lamb: A Culinary Reflection, et al.
