The World’s Laziest Book Club

Mercy Seat is home to the World’s Laziest Church Book Club (TM). We meet once a month to discuss a pre-agreed-upon book after church. However, attendees need not even read the book (Rev. Mark makes it an art of not having read the book but finding relevant discussion topics). Sometimes books are not even read and we just watch a movie. Yes, we’re that lazy. Previous books read are: Willa Cather’s My Antonia, Graham Greene’s The End of the Affair, et al.

May 16th (after church) is the next meeting of The World’s Laziest Book Club (TM). We are reading “The Supper of the Lamb” by Robert Farrar Capon. It combines two of our favorite things: supper and lambs. Who’s bringing the kebabs? Feel free to come even if you haven’t read the book, because we’re that lazy.
